I don’t know where time has gone this year. I’m definitely guilty of abandoning this blog this year and I can only apologise but with 50 different shoots and over 30,000 images taken this year, plus everything else life throws at you, this blog fell on the back burner. I’m so grateful to all my 2023 clients and I’m so excited for what 2024 has in store!

Sarah and David had their wedding on one of the hottest days of the year, it was a scorcher at 33 degrees! None of us were expecting the heat that day and combined with nerves it almost got to the groom but he remained upright at the end of the aisle to see his beautiful join him at the alter. Surrounded by their nearest and dearest Mr and Mrs Hall’s day went without a hitch. What a lovely day this was at this new stylish and modern venue. Edenwood only opened their doors two years ago and is such a beautiful intimate venue perfect for smaller weddings.

Taken a few days before the family moved out of London, Baby Watson was captured at home for the first time. Mummy hadn’t been very well post birth with some complications but once she was feeling better we scheduled in a time to captured some precious memories so these photos could line the walls of their new forever home. This little one did not want to sleep and looked so annoyed that we managed to put him to sleep (despite it being short lived)

7 days new and what a little dream boat you was! Never have I known a baby to sleep like he did! Still can’t believe I managed to get him in and out of a real motorbike helmet and he stayed asleep.

Double the trouble, double the fun, double the love and laughter! This was organised chaos but I loved it! These girls were so funny. Mummy, daddy, aunty, nanny and grandad all were on hand at one point or another to keep these girls going. Honestly if we had filmed a behind the scenes we would have looked like right nutters but that’s what you have to do for the smiles! However getting two pairs of eyes to look at you I can confirm is hard work!!

Shoot started off well, with everyone being locked out. Eventually the keys arrived but because of severe traffic this took a little longer than anticipated. Lots of fun with the dog and little mans big sister outside in the mean time playing catch chase and what’s in my car. When we go in this little munchkin made me WORK. We got there eventually and thankfully mummy and daddy love the photos.

Darling boy you made me and everyone else laugh so much with your cake smash. From 0 to 100 with the mess despite really not being sure at first. We did wonder if the blue food colouring was going to turn him blue, but thankfully it didn’t otherwise we would have had a baby smurf on our hands.

It was pouring with rain this day, I remember it so well as I had to lug all my equipment from Blackheath train station to my clients house in one go, feeling a bit like a pack mule. I was a little soggy by the time I arrived on the doorstep (and of course it had stopped by the time the shoot ended). What a gorgeous family I got to capture and photograph. Baby boy was such a sweetheart and mum and dad were absolute naturals in front of the camera. Just before this shoot I was going through a spell of not really liking my work, and I had taken some photos prior to this shoot that I really wasn’t happy with and it was going to take a lot of work to fix. I was getting frustrated going through the editing process (which is a long process and I honestly spend more time editing than actually taking photos) and decided I need to leave that work for a moment and come back to it with a fresh set of eyes. I opened this shoot and, it almost instantly made me cry with happiness because I couldn’t believe that I had captured moments that were so beautiful, magical, and pure. This shoot restored my own faith in my capabilities, plus it did make me laugh that within about 10 images I can captured baby boy sticking his middle finger up.

4 different dates, 12 sessions, 22 children, 3 adults, thousands of photos taken, a few tantrums and tears but mainly happy smiles, a variety of chocolate coins given out and all edited and delivered before December 1st. That is Xmas minis 2022 complete!
So glad to have so many returning customers, really does make me so happy!

This little one was WIDE awake when I arrived and was really easily woken up and stirred. Took a lot of shushing and forehead rubs to keep this little one happy, but he was such a little sweetheart though. Pulled some serious farting faces which was quite funny. This is little lad is a rainbow baby, mummy told me during the shoot that they had 4 angels before this little one made his appearance so I had to incorporate that into the photos.

A whole year of Cameron! I got to shoot this little lads newborn photos and now he is back for his first year cake smash! Where does a year go? Mummy wanted to keep it simple, rustic and natural. Shot in some woodland behind houses in Bromley this little lad absolutely loved his cake smash and splash session! That little face really says it all!

Zahra and James finished off their celebrations surrounded by friends and family in Farningham with by a beautiful open field, food carts and games. It was a glorious sunny day in July and I honestly don’t know how Zahra did it with that (beautiful) dress as it weighed more than the first one! I mean the beading and work on her dresses was stunning but the sheer weight of it alone combined with the heat, what a bride!! Lots of laughter, fun, and even dhal drummers to round up their wedding celebrations.

The crazy loveable chaos that comes with photographing 3 boys 5 and under really was seen on this day but despite it all, it’s the reason I love this job! Being silly, making up games on the spot all tin the name of getting the kiddos to crack a smile is what this is all about, and the glorious sunshine in Greenwich park was just beautiful.

Throwing it right back to summer as winter draws in with the wet and rain that we have been experiencing lately. What an absolutely glorious summer evening this was!! Despite it being on the cusp of slightly too hot it was still such a beautiful day and shoot! Beckenham place park was alive with people enjoying the summer sun and the flowers were in full bloom. Probably some of my favourite family shoots to date!

Taken at 22 days new, weighting in at 8lb 7oz he was a little chunky nugget. Took a little work to get to sleep, he was too excited to be a model clearly. I have never known a baby to yawn as much as this little one, so none of us could work out why he didn’t want to go to sleep! Along with the yawns plenty of nappy changes too. Kept us all on our toes for sure!

Me and the mummy to be went to uni together, so to get asked to photograph her growing family was an honour! I'm simply obsessed with these photos and the simplicity of them. All I need is a plain wall and some good lighting and let the magic be created (definitely with lots of laughter along the way - to shake off those nerves about being in front of the camera). This baby will definitely be a biker if daddy has anything to do with it! Baby Murrell is currently overdue so his/her arrival will hopefully be any day now (if they haven’t arrived already) but I’m so excited that I have been asked to go back and photograph him/her once they are here!

Oh darling girl what a little angel you was for me! She slept for 90% of her shoot stirring only once for a feed right at the end! Weighing in at 5lb 5oz when she was born she was so tiny! Couldn’t have asked for a better shoot! Especially because their sausage dog involved! I need more shoots with dogs and babies, or just dogs in general, because who doesn’t love dogs??

Zahra and James celebrated the first part of their wedding early May with a Nikah in Peterborough to welcome, symbolise and legitimise the start of their matrimony in the eyes of Allah and in the presence of the Inman. Surrounded by predominately many of Zahra’s family along with James’ immediate family they all came together to celebrate the joining of the two. Stayed tuned for their wedding Part 2!
