Virtual shooting who knew?! I can’t quite believe I have only properly discovered this. I had seen and heard a few photographers taking this on but many appeared to be quite a grainy quality, but I’m so surprised from my trial how well it went and the quality of the photos came out! Felt human again being able to take photos and edit, after lockdown three. Oh how I’ve missed this! Saying that it defiantly felt strange. I felt like I was in the room but I obviously wasn’t. At one point I believe ‘I’ was in an empty bottle, on a pile of boxes and books but it meant I was at the right height to take the photo. Defiantly a learning experience having to describe how you want to be placed, and how to pose my clients when my usual instinct is just to do it or show them.
Felt so good to see my clients again. I photographed them for their first pregnancy and they were my first ever maternity clients so was honoured to photograph baby bump number two. I was the first person to find out baby’s name the first time, and this now this time too and its such a wonderful feeling. Virtual shooting saved this precious lockdown moment that they otherwise may have missed out on and I’m so grateful I was able to capture it for them.
